SUMMARY:Two-day training programme on One Health – Driven Analytical Tools for Monitoring Zoonotic Pathogens and Residues
DESCRIPTION:Under the flagship of the MoU between ICAR–NMRI\, Chengicherla\, and St. Pauls College of Pharmacy\, a two-day training programme on “One Health – Driven Analytical Tools for Monitoring Zoonotic Pathogens and Residues” was conducted on 26th–27th February 2026 for 25 B. Pharmacy and M. Pharmacy students. \nWe were privileged to receive guidance from Dr. S. B. Barbuddhe\, Director of ICAR–National Research Centre on Meat\, whose expertise and leadership greatly enriched the sessions. This was followed by an insightful session by Dr. Deepak B. Rawool\, Principal Scientist\, on Zoonotic Disorders\, highlighting emerging public health concerns and surveillance strategies. The programme also featured a technical session by Dr. S. Kalpana\, Principal Scientist\, on Veterinary Drug Residue Analysis in Offals – Current Regulations\, which provided valuable knowledge on regulatory standards\, analytical methods\, and food safety compliance. \nThe workshop provided exposure to advanced analytical techniques including HPLC\, LC-MS/MS\, ELISA\, and PCR\, along with a valuable hands-on session on residual analysis \nThe programme significantly enhanced students understanding of food safety\, public health\, and the One Health approach\, effectively bridging theory with practical application. \nWe extend our heartfelt thanks to St. Pauls Management and our Principal and Professor Dr. Kiranmai Mandava for your constant vision\, encouragement\, and commitment to providing meaningful learning opportunities. Your support truly inspires us to grow academically and professionally. \nFaculty coordinators\nØ Dr. K. Anusha – Associate Professor\, Department of Pharmacology.\nØ Mrs. B. Suhasini – Assistant Professor\, Department of Pharmacology.

SUMMARY:A Training Program on Technology Readiness Level (TRL) and Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL)
DESCRIPTION:A Training Program on Technology Readiness Level (TRL) and Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) was organized under the R&D Awareness and Capacity Building Initiative at the institution. The session was delivered by Professor & Principal St. Pauls College of Pharmacy\, Dr. Mandava Kiranmai on 28.02.2026. who provided valuable insights into assessing technology maturity and manufacturing preparedness for successful commercialization. \nDr. Kiranmai explained the TRL framework\, originally developed by NASA\, outlining the nine levels that track the progression of research from basic scientific principles to fully operational systems. She also highlighted the importance of Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRL) in ensuring scalability\, pilot production feasibility\, quality compliance\, and regulatory preparedness. \nThe session emphasized bridging the “Valley of Death” between laboratory research and market deployment. Faculty members\, research scholars\, and innovation coordinators actively participated in discussions and interactive exercises that helped map ongoing research projects to appropriate TRL stages. \nThe program significantly enhanced awareness regarding technology validation\, industry collaboration\, and funding readiness\, thereby strengthening the institution’s innovation ecosystem and R&D capacity.
