DESCRIPTION:The Department of Pharmacology\, St. Pauls College of Pharmacy\, successfully organized an International Invited Talk on “𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀” on 𝟭𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱. \nThe session was delivered by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗔𝗺𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗔𝗵𝗹𝘂𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮\, Dean (Research)\, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry\, Queen Mary University of London\, and Director\, Barts Cardiovascular Clinical Trials Unit\, UK. Her insightful presentation enriched understanding of cardiovascular pharmacology\, mechanisms of action\, and emerging therapeutic perspectives. \nThe talk fostered meaningful academic interaction and enhanced learning among students\, faculty members\, and researchers. SUMMARY:Innovation and Entrepreneurship Outreach Programme
DESCRIPTION:𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲 \nIIC St. Pauls successfully conducted a session on “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Outreach Programme in Schools” on 11-12-2025 at Indus Valley International School. The programme featured Dr. Sneha Thakur and Ms. Talari Anusha\, both incubates\, who shared insights on innovation and entrepreneurship. Dr. Kiranmai Mandava\, Principal & IIC President\, highlighted the significance of the session and the role of innovation in education. SUMMARY:Awareness Session on Problem Identification and Prototyping
DESCRIPTION:𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴  \nAwareness session on 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 was successfully conducted under the IIC flagship for 100 students and faculty. The session\, led by 𝗠𝗿. 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗸 𝗥𝗮𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗻\, 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿\, 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆\, focused on identifying root causes using user-centric approaches and understanding prototyping as an iterative tool for innovation. DESCRIPTION:𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 – 𝗥&𝗗 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀\, 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀\, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻  \nA guest lecture on “Decoding Histamine 2 Receptor Signalling as a Novel Strategy Against Hypertensive Heart Disease” was successfully conducted at St. Pauls College of Pharmacy (Autonomous)\, Hyderabad\, on 24th January 2026. The session aimed to enhance R&D awareness\, explore various funding sources\, and emphasize problem identification to address real-world challenges.  \nThe lecture was delivered by Dr. Ajay Godwin Potnuri\, Scientist–I\, Department of Pharmacology\, AIIMS\, New Delhi\, under the able coordination of Prof. Somnath De\, HoD\, Department of Pharmacology.   \nDr. Potnuri elaborated on the role of Histamine 2 receptor signalling in cardiovascular pathology and discussed its promising therapeutic potential in hypertensive heart disease. The session was highly informative and interactive\, witnessing enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty members.  \nThe college sincerely thanks the management for their constant support and extends heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Kiranmai Mandava\, Principal\, for her visionary guidance in promoting academic excellence and research-oriented learning. The session proved to be highly beneficial and added significant academic value to all participants.

DESCRIPTION:Under the flagship of the MoU between ICAR–NMRI\, Chengicherla\, and St. Pauls College of Pharmacy\, a two-day training programme on “One Health – Driven Analytical Tools for Monitoring Zoonotic Pathogens and Residues” was conducted on 26th–27th February 2026 for 25 B. Pharmacy and M. Pharmacy students. \nWe were privileged to receive guidance from Dr. S. B. Barbuddhe\, Director of ICAR–National Research Centre on Meat\, whose expertise and leadership greatly enriched the sessions. This was followed by an insightful session by Dr. Deepak B. Rawool\, Principal Scientist\, on Zoonotic Disorders\, highlighting emerging public health concerns and surveillance strategies. The programme also featured a technical session by Dr. S. Kalpana\, Principal Scientist\, on Veterinary Drug Residue Analysis in Offals – Current Regulations\, which provided valuable knowledge on regulatory standards\, analytical methods\, and food safety compliance. \nThe workshop provided exposure to advanced analytical techniques including HPLC\, LC-MS/MS\, ELISA\, and PCR\, along with a valuable hands-on session on residual analysis \nThe programme significantly enhanced students understanding of food safety\, public health\, and the One Health approach\, effectively bridging theory with practical application. \nWe extend our heartfelt thanks to St. Pauls Management and our Principal and Professor Dr. Kiranmai Mandava for your constant vision\, encouragement\, and commitment to providing meaningful learning opportunities. The session was delivered by Professor & Principal St. Pauls College of Pharmacy\, Dr. Mandava Kiranmai on 28.02.2026. who provided valuable insights into assessing technology maturity and manufacturing preparedness for successful commercialization. \nDr. Kiranmai explained the TRL framework\, originally developed by NASA\, outlining the nine levels that track the progression of research from basic scientific principles to fully operational systems. She also highlighted the importance of Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRL) in ensuring scalability\, pilot production feasibility\, quality compliance\, and regulatory preparedness. \nThe session emphasized bridging the “Valley of Death” between laboratory research and market deployment. Faculty members\, research scholars\, and innovation coordinators actively participated in discussions and interactive exercises that helped map ongoing research projects to appropriate TRL stages. \nThe program significantly enhanced awareness regarding technology validation\, industry collaboration\, and funding readiness\, thereby strengthening the institution’s innovation ecosystem and R&D capacity.

Students gained valuable insights into crafting strong self-introductions\, preparing professional resumes\, and mastering essential interview techniques including body language\, communication\, and answering strategies. \nThe interactive nature of the session\, along with mock interview practice\, helped students enhance their readiness for real-world career opportunities. \nA big step forward in empowering students with the skills needed to succeed!

The session covered various forms of intellectual property\, including patents\, trademarks\, copyrights\, and trade secrets. \nParticipants gained practical knowledge on identifying\, protecting\, and strategically managing intellectual property throughout the startup lifecycle. The workshop also highlighted IP commercialization\, licensing opportunities\, and common legal challenges faced by startups. It emphasized the role of intellectual property as a key asset for business growth and competitive advantage.
