DESCRIPTION:The Idea of the Yoga Day was first proposed by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India\, Shri Narendra Modi on September 27\, 2014\, during his speech at the UN General Assembly\, where a resolution to establish June 21 as International Yoga Day was introduced.On the eve of “International Day of Yoga on 21″ June2024” 🧘‍🌍\, NSS unit of St. Pauls College of Pharmacy conducted a yoga session on the theme “Yoga for Women Empowerment”. Faculty and students joined hands with the esteemed Mr. G. Gopal from Patanjali Yoga for a rejuvenating session. Dr. Kiranmai also underscored the importance and responsibility of alumni to remain connected with the institution\, emphasizing how such relationships can benefit both the alumni and the college. \nMrs. P. Naga Haritha provided an overview of the college’s accomplishments and activities over the past year. She detailed various events\, academic milestones\, and infrastructural developments that have taken place\, showcasing the institution’s ongoing growth and success.The meet also featured personal anecdotes and experiences shared by several alumni. He discussed the global harmonization efforts aimed at streamlining regulatory processes across borders and facilitating international drug approvals. Attendees gained insights into the strategic importance of understanding regulatory requirements in different regions and markets\, essential for successful product commercialization. Through practical examples and case studies\, Dr. Tummala elucidated the challenges and best practices in regulatory compliance\, fostering interactive discussions on emerging trends and career opportunities in this dynamic field. The discussion has reinforced the knowledge on traditional health care system with the pacing the current trends in Pharma innovations. The panel discussion was held with Acharya Balakrishna (Founder\, Patanjali foundation)\, Dr. Vedapriya Arya\, Head\, Herbal Research division PRF\, Dr.M. Kiranmai (President\, IIC\, Principal St Pauls College of Pharmacy)\, Mr.K. Sudhir (Chairman\, St. Pauls College of Pharmacy). The discussion highlighted the aspects of innovation in traditional knowledge-based products that can generate entrepreneurship. The session enlightened with funding aspects\, innovative products\, key herbal formulations\, standardization methods of herbals etc. Finally\, the session witnessed the exchange of MOU for research and incubation collaboration with Patanjali Research Foundation by Mr.K. Sudhir and IIC President Dr.M. Kiranmai\, Principal St. Pauls College of Pharmacy.

The session enlightened on the key aspects of identification of problems and gaps to generate and idea that can address the specified problem or issue. The session highlighted the need of innovation and certain aspects of entrepreneurship skills to build effective prototypes. The faculty and students have participated in the session. After the motivation most of the students and faculty have certainly worked on the ideas in TRL 1-2 levels and gained access to participate in the MSME idea Hackathon 3.0 for women innovators launched by St Pauls HIBI.

All the students have lightened up the campus with colourful and traditional attire which shows that we are never beyond our culture. The highlight of the day was faculty playing the roles of retro themes with beautiful dress up. The celebration started with student’s ramp walk in the first place and faculty showcasing their hidden talents with punch dialogues of their attire. The celebration ended with the prize distribution of sports and ramp walk. Traditional walk teaching staff winner Mrs. Shital shirag dange\, runner Mrs. Sneha thakur\, non-teaching staff winner Mrs. Rajni\, runner Mr. Brahma chary\, students winner are Pharm D 2nd year Ziya salomi and Sripada Sharma and runners are 3rd year Pharmacy Rahul and Haveela. \nThe day was completely occupied with a lot of fun\, joyousness and basket full of selfies. Sports enlighten ones strength to be more active and energetic towards life. St. Pauls College of Pharmacy is grateful for one such celebration\, “The Wellness Weak” i.e.\, Zenesis 2K23 on 17th – 22nd June 2023. We wanted our students to have calm and composed life and so an extraordinary competition of different indoor and outdoor games were conducted for three continuous days. Both boys and girls had separate sports which inculcated competitive spirit in the college campus. Fun and furious moments have filled in the college. A hearty congratulation was extended to the runners and winners of the sports. We extend our gratitude to our principal ma’am who has initiated the thought and a heartful thanks to the management for the support in all respects. A sincere thanks to the coordinators for cool conduction of sports events.
