St. Pauls College of Pharmacy, in collaboration with the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), organized a ๐๐๐ฅ๐ค๐๐ญ๐ก๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐ง ๐๐๐ฉ๐ญ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐, as part of the 4th Pharmacovigilance Week. The event, centered around the theme “๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐๐๐๐ญ๐ฒ” aimed to raise public awareness on the importance of drug safety and the critical role of reporting adverse drug reactions (ADRs). It provided a platform for students and faculty to actively engage in promoting a culture of ADR reporting, with patient safety as the ultimate goal. The event was inaugurated by Dr. M. Kiranmai, Principal of St. Pauls College of Pharmacy, and Dr. Are Anusha, Head of the Department of Pharmacy Practice. Both stressed the crucial role pharmacists play in ensuring drug safety and the importance of establishing a strong framework for ADR reporting. Dr. Kiranmai noted, “๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐ฆ๐๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฌ ๐๐ซ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ข๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ง๐๐โ when it comes to drug safety. A proactive ADR reporting system is essential to protecting patient health and well-being. This initiative has helped further embed a culture of vigilance and safety in drug usage, reinforcing the vital role of pharmacists in healthcare.
