St. Pauls College of Pharmacy, in association with the Institutionโs Innovation Council (IIC), conducted a workshop on โProtecting IPR and IP Management for Startupsโ on April 28, 2026.
The workshop was conducted by Dr. Somnath De, Coordinator, St. Pauls Patent Cell, who provided valuable insights into the importance of safeguarding innovations and creative assets in startups. The session covered various forms of intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
Participants gained practical knowledge on identifying, protecting, and strategically managing intellectual property throughout the startup lifecycle. The workshop also highlighted IP commercialization, licensing opportunities, and common legal challenges faced by startups. It emphasized the role of intellectual property as a key asset for business growth and competitive advantage.
